Our Local Content Drive

NFL was one of the first companies in Nigeria to get involved in the Local Content drive by the Federal Government of Nigeria and NNPC (Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation). Presently NFL is a member on the committee for fabrication and for manufacturing.

In February 2004 the first trial test of producing successfully a bracelet anode was carried out at the Ilupeju Plant.

Now with the opening of the new Otta Plant and the acquisition of a state of the art aluminum spectrometer from ARL, NFL is fully poised to produce anodes that meet international standards and the specific requirements of individual customers.

The Otta Plant has at present, a dedicated capacity to produce approximately 800 metric tonnes per annum of anodes. All dies and tooling are made within the premises at the machine shop and fabrication unit.  

At present we are carrying out a survey with respect to expanding our melting capacities.
